Japan

Juan Carlos & Colette González

My wife Colette and I are AGWM missionaries to Japan. Colette is a Missionary Kid raised in Japan until she went to Vanguard University where we met. We have two grown children and both of them married. We also have two grandkids. We have been assigned to Fukuoka, Japan for more than 25 years. Add to that, a year as MAPS AG volunteer missionaries in 1989 and 1990. Japan has more than 125 million people. Our Fukuoka city has 2.2 million people with easy access to the rest of Asia. South Korea is just a few minutes by airplane. There is less than 1 percent of Christianity in Japan and that’s the reason why we are here. We are church planters. We helped pastored at Kasuga church and Hakata church. But we pioneered Momochi Symphony Church 17 years ago. Our prayer request: Nothing is impossible for God. We have been raising funds for our church building. Our own place would be great now, since the CoVid, the church has been meeting in our house. Pray that new donors can help us purchase the most anticipated building for our church. We are more than half way of the project. Please pray that God may have His way in our church. Lastly, for safety and protection during this pandemic.

Nicaragua

Ricky & Gloria Lopez

Blessings! We are the Lopez family. My wife, Gloria and I are AGWM missionaries in Nicaragua for the past 5 years. I was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and was raised as a child in Coachella, CA. My wife Gloria was born in Nicaragua but in her youth years she immigrated to the south part of California. We have two beautiful children, Ricky JR. who is six years old. As well as a daughter Kaily who is 19 months old. We were pastors for seven years in La Puente, CA. Nicaragua is the second poorest place in Latin America. But in the area that we serve, it is considered the poorest of the poorest. These areas are literally on the landfill. We have set up a health center for the families that live in the landfill that are living in extreme poverty. We have two health centers located in two different landfills so that we may better serve those in need. We are currently working on building 80 homes for families in need from different landfill areas. Thank you very much for the support by prayers and or financially. God bless you.

El Salvador

Kenton & Eunice Moody

Kenton, a timid country boy, felt a call of God on his life at age nine to be a missionary. He prepared himself educationally and spiritually and began working with hispanics in the U.S. later serving as a missionary in Panama with the Assemblies of God and then as the International Director for Convoy of Hope, a compassion organization. God specifically spoke to him to come to Santa Ana to work with the children and youth as an Assemblies of God missionary. He and his late wife Elsie came in 2010 and began serving those with economic and spiritual needs. Elsie lost her battle with cancer in 2015. Kenton felt led to continue the ministry and in November, 2017 married Eunice Vargas, a wonderful person who has worked in the ministry for six years as a teacher and sub-director of the Hosanna School. Eunice's love for the children shines through her beautiful smile. The vision to help others continues to expand the ministry.

Spain

Mauricio & Chayito Quiñones

Mauricio was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and Chayito was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. Both emigrated to the United States during their childhood. Mauricio and Chayito met at the Latin American Biblical Institute (LABI) in La Puente, CA in 2000 and married in September 2003. Once they finished their bachelor’s degree in Theology at the Latin American Theological Seminary (LATS), they moved to the state of Colorado where they started their family. First his son Kaleb arrived and two years later his daughter Zoe arrived. Mauricio worked as a police officer in the state of Colorado for 10 years until God asked them to give up their "American dream" and start dreaming God's dream. In their family quest to do God's will, Mauricio and Chayito organized a missionary trip to Spain in 2014. It was on that trip, in the small village of La Calahorra, 5 hrs south of Madrid, that God called them to serve you as missionaries in Spain. Following God's will, the Quiñones Family left their American dream in the state of Colorado and moved to work among the towns of southern Spain in April 2017. Today, the Quiñones Family works carrying the good news of salvation among the peoples of southern Spain, specifically in the city of Guadix which is composed of 53 peoples. Among those 53 villages in the region of Guadix, there is only one established evangelical church and two working missionary families, the Olmos family and the Quiñones family.
